Yes, 40 years ago, on June 14, 1977, I started as a 17 year- old Slinger High School graduate and typed IM floaters. I worked in Agent’s Service, typing, then moved to data entry on one of 8 CRT (dumb terminals, meaning no output, only entry), became a supervisor, then moved to personal lines underwriting and supervising. After 15 years of personal lines, I entered the commercial underwriting training group with 3 young college graduates. That’s when my hair turned gray. After 16 years in CL underwriting, I joined the fabulous marketing team, and here is where I plan to finish my career, somewhere down the road…
