A key component of worker safety is ergonomics, defined as “an applied science of designing and arranging things people use so the people and things interact most efficiently and safely” by Merriam-Webster’s dictionary. Proper ergonomics in the workplace increase quality of work and productivity and decrease injuries. All employees, from those sitting at desks working on computers to those working in manufacturing facilities, can avoid injuries and be more comfortable through ergonomics assessments.
