Beauty Insurance by West Bend
------
West Bend’s program is specifically designed for cosmetologists, barbers, nail technicians, estheticians, and massage therapists, all independent contractors renting space from salon owners.
As an independent contractor, you need to carry your own insurance. Most salon owners who rent out booths don’t provide insurance for the self–employed professional. If you don’t have insurance, you could be risking your income and professional reputation. Insurance provides coverage that protects you from the financial impact of a liability claim like a slip and fall, chemical damage, burns, or cuts.
Acupuncture, Botox, cellulite reduction, laser equipment, permanent cosmetic services including tattooing and body piercing, and medical advice and services.
West Bend’s coverage is designed specifically for cosmetology-related business. We insure thousands of salons and beauty independent contractors throughout the Midwest so we understand your unique business insurance needs. We’re also dedicated to providing you with an affordable insurance product. And if you have a claim, our claims professionals understand the types of risks associated with the beauty industry. These knowledgeable and experienced professionals are dedicated to handling your loss. West Bend is backed by nearly 125 years of financial stability and an A (Excellent) or better by A.M. Best since 1971.
General liability, often referred to as business liability insurance, is coverage to protect you from claims including bodily injury, property damage, and personal injury arising from your business operations. General liability can protect you if you’re sued by someone who trips over your chair or table, incurs physical injuries caused by your products, or on whose expensive purse or coat you spill hair dye or oils.
Professional liability insurance provides coverage to pay for claims arising out of the rendering of or failure to render professional services in connection with your beauty operation as a hairdresser, nail technician, masseuse, or esthetician. Also known as malpractice insurance, professional liability insurance protects you if a client sues you over an alleged professional mistake, even if you didn’t make a mistake, but a client claims you did.
If the property is scheduled and covered under the policy, your business personal property, including your equipment/inventory, is covered for direct physical loss of or damage to covered property at the premises described in the declarations and caused by or resulting from any covered cause of loss (fire, lightening, windstorm or hail, theft, vandalism, and more.)
